LSA2020 Cancelled

As I am sure you were all anticipating we have taken the sensible decision to cancel LSA2020 conference here at Manchester Metropolitan University due to be held 7-9th July.

The LSA Executive Committee is working on a series of ideas of how we can share your work amongst the leisure community and we welcome ideas from you. In the first instance we would love for you to get recognition for your work, and we are welcoming submissions of short papers (700-1000 words) to be published on the LSA website. If you would like to pursue this idea please send submissions to News@Leisurestudies.org so they can be published over the coming months.

Our annual conference makes a significant financial contribution to LSA, both in terms of profit share and memberships. We therefore, encourage those who had planned to attend to join LSA or, where relevant, renew their memberships: https://leisurestudies.org/subscription-plan/ Memberships start at £18 per year.

Though slightly earlier than we would have liked, we would like to introduce you to our 2021 hosts: Solent University. Details of this will follow in due course.

In the meantime, stay safe.

With best wishes,
Louise Platt
(2020 Conference Chair)
