Leisure Identities, Health and Well-Being 6th– 8th July 2021
Solent University, situated in the centre of Southampton, has a reputation for the quality of our teaching, for our engagement with industry, and for the employability of our graduates. Within the School of Sport, Health and Social Sciences, we are particularly committed to social justice. Solent University is delighted to be hosting the 2021 Leisure Studies Annual Conference on Leisure Identities, Health and Well-Being. In these g/locally tumultuous socio-economic and political times the theme of the conference explores the role leisure plays in addressing “healthy” identities, for who, and for what purpose. The conference themes will explore leisure identities, health and well-being in order to critically explore the relationship between leisure and health considering neo-liberal practices, the politics of identity, difference and the quest for social justice.
