Here at the Association for Dementia Studies, we are proud to share with you emerging insights from our research and practice in sport, physical activity anddementia. This is a context given even more importance in light of the current Covid- 19 crisis.


  • Dr Chris Russell – Will share findings of research which explored the experiences of people engaging in sport and physical activity within their local community leisure and fitness centre
  • Becky Oatley – Will discuss how women affected by dementia can benefit from sport reminiscence activities
  • Dr Susie Scriven & Tom Howard – Will share insight as practitioners and leaders of the University of Worcester Senior Physical Activity and Adapted Sport (SPAAS) Programme
