The conference theme focuses on the implications of digitalization for practices, infrastructures, and participation, possibly structured around the following subthemes:
Digital Leisure Experiences and Transformations
Digital technologies reshaping leisure practices, including virtual and hybrid formats and platform‑based consumption.
(E-)sports, Analogue and Digital Gaming as Leisure Practices and Skill Developing Activities
Social, cultural, and economic relevance of gaming and esports in terms of e.g., community and fan engagement, youth and social work, or skill development.
Sport in the Digital Era
Digital transformation of sport, including data use, organizational practices and convergence with esports.
Tourism, Technology and Innovation
Smart destinations, digital services, data analytics, gamification aspects and changing travel behavior.
Infrastructure, Access and Regional Development
Role of the development of (regional) infrastructure (e.g., gaming hubs, leisure tickets, public facilities such as swimming pools and digital rooms) in participation and inclusion, and supporting game development.
